Life Has A Way of Piling Up Sometimes.
Between supporting the needs of my family, caring for pets who need me as their emotional support human, holding down the fort while my husband travels more than usual for work, and of course seeing clients each day, my days can begin to feel full. On top of all that, I’ve been pouring energy into building something I’m really excited to share! My new website for Beyond the Stigma Az is now live.
As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, people often assume I have everything together. The truth is, I’m human, too. I navigate overwhelm, disappointment, unexpected changes, and the never-ending to-do list just like anyone else. What I’ve learned is that those very experiences don’t take away from my ability to care for others, they deepen it. When I sit with a client who feels like life is “a lot,” I understand that feeling in a very real way.
Just like mental health, building a private practice is work, that is always “under construction”.
That’s part of why I wanted to build a new website. Every piece matters, whether it’s refining the way I explain my services, making resources easier to find, or creating a space that feels approachable and stigma-free. Beyond the Stigma Az isn’t just a name, it’s a promise… A promise to meet people where they are, with empathy and understanding, and the best evidence-based knowledge available.
I’m grateful for everyone who allows me to walk alongside them in their mental health journey. For me, building this practice is about more than offering appointments; it’s about building trust, connection, and a safe place to be seen so that REAL changes can be felt in the people who are trusting me to care for them!
If you’d like to see what I’ve been working on, I’d love for you to visit my new site (which also includes this brand new blog). http://Beyondthestimgaaz.com
And if there’s a topic you’d like me to write about in future posts please let me know.
